Thanks in large part to her parents, Bairu was able to travel abroad to places like Europe and Asia while also soaking in all the fine cultures that this United States has to offer. Her multicultural roots helped shape Bairu into the artist and person she is today. Not to mention, Bairu is not just fluent in English but also Mandarin Chinese. She prides herself in being a quality singer and a fine songwriter but Bairu also writes her own material, composes music and even dabbles in the area of co-producing. So, diverse is her middle name and multidimensional is the name of her game!
Surrounded by music since she was a kid, Bairu can proudly say that she is hitting all the right notes today. With the new single “How could you”, the California native invites you to a world full of heartfelt emotions that will cut right through you. Bairu speaks from the heart, “There is nothing like good music to break down the artificial borders of this planet. Music is very spiritual; it has the power to bring people together.” Bairu has the power along with the proven success system behind her at Musik and Film and it’s no mystery at all that she is heading in the right direction.

How did it all begin?
Story has it 3 yr old Dustin was in the audience with his father at a Rick Springfield concert. Ronnie Grinel, Rick’s tour coordinator, seeing a cute little toddler hanging onto a toy guitar, picked him out of the throng of adoring fans to bring him on stage. Ronnie remembers fondly, ” I spotted him in the audience, and threw him up on stage to help Rick sing “Don’t Talk to Strangers”. At 3 years old he brought down the house!”
As a result, Dustin has been writing and playing guitar all his life. Rick became a mentor to Dustin and in 2010, Dustin performed onstage playing lead guitar for Rick Springfield which appears in the documentary film by Yellow Rick Road Productions about Springfield. “An Affair of the Heart” has captured the hearts of millions of Rick Springfield fans around the world.
Now 17 years old, Dustin Walker has his own band, releasing his first CD, ‘Between the Lines’. The CD release party will be held at Dukes on Grand in Kansas City, July 26th.
A Rick Springfield Concert follows on July 27th with Walker as opening act at The Midland in Kansas City.
Walker’s CD is for sale at this link.
Musik and Film’s promotions division, Musik Radio is proud to be the presenter of ‘Feather of Peace’ to worldwide radio airplay.
With a tinge of Bon Jovi, a touch Of Rod Stewart, a dash of Def Leppard and a pinch of INX, Carwyn Henigan is a New Zealand singer and songwriter of uncommon resonance bursting with commercial radio flavour.
What is the story behind ‘Feather of Peace’?
Chuck Taylor, Senior Editor Billboard Magazine NYC 1998-2009, says it best, “The sect of Eastern Polynesian people known as Moriori migrated to New Zealand generations ago to escape fighting, bloodshed and cannibalism from their mythological original home of Hawaiki. In passionate rock anthem “Feather Of Peace,” Kiwi singer/songwriter Carwyn Henigan tells the tale of how the race came to a new world in search of love and peace—only to be again victimized and nearly decimated.
“Feather” opens with a gentle sweep of piano, followed by Henigan’s pleading vocal (think Fee Waybill of The Tubes), as driving percussion and crushing guitars ever-so-slowly and deliberately build the track into a frenzied, urgent melodic call to action for harmony among all peoples. He sings: “We ain’t gonna fight no more, We ain’t gonna hide our love, We don’t wanna fight no more, We don’t wanna hide our love, We just wanna give our love… Feather of peace, your world of love”.
Musik Radio has already began promotions to 100,000+ stations around the world with positive feedback:
‘Feather of Peace’ is getting a huge response from our listeners…they love it!”
“This is a gem of an anthem with great messages that are connecting with our listeners.”
“Sending you a huge Salute for Feather of Peace, a unique Rock R&B hybrid”.
‘Feather of Peace’ is unique in that Henigan has crafted this song as a tribute to these long suffering peoples in a way that touches the heart of humanity. It is the kind of music that will stand the test of time.

Tim Smith released his album, “Fiddler Tim Smith & Friends” months ago, and Musik Radio Promotions began promotions of the singles to worldwide radio airplay. It has led to a string of successful radio campaigns with now more than 20,000 stations including the coveted BBC network, the largest network of radio stations in the world
“ When you play this cd for the first time you immediately know it is going to be a good one. It took me about 10 seconds to realize that. Tim Smith’s tone is top notch and as I listened to the rest of the cd the tune selection really show cases Tim’s ability. Tim has come up with some original tunes that sound like they have been around forever and plays the older tunes quite well. Tim has been around for sometime and has learned from some of the best old time players but plays in his own style and that makes this project special. Enjoy it like I did.” World Class Fiddler, BYRON BERLINE
Tim has enjoyed his status on the Wall of Success for months – go give a listen and you will understand why he is gaining so much global airplay.
David Shanhun has released his new single, ‘I Believe in You’ to worldwide radio through Musik Radio Promotions.
David launched his career as a professional musician enjoying early success as a finalist in the 2010 Singer Songwriter Syndicate’s “Singer/Songwriter” competition. The following year David was nominated for the Horizon Award (promising new artist) at the New Zealand Country Music Awards and was a nominee for the Pat McMinn Rising Star Award.
In 2012 David’s single “Missing You” held the number one spot on NZ weekly chart for five weeks. In 2013 David became the only artist to have been nominated twice for the coveted Horizon Award.
David has now released a new single, ‘I Believe in You”. Working with the production team at Musik and Film, David spoke of the experience, “Admittedly I was nervous about working with Musik and Film, as I was already happy with my track “I Believe In You” as it was. Stephen and Eric have taken a good mix and made it superb – PLUS been a pleasure to work with. They have been great to communicate with (even when I misunderstood things), and quick to make changes I requested to really nail the fine details. I look forward to a growing relationship and more good things to come!
David’s new single has been released for international airplay by Musik Radio and is already receiving rave reviews, “Once again you stopped me in my tracks with an Artist who is breaking sound barriers. David Shanhun is absolutely remarkable. I will begin airplay immediately!”..David needs to be heard!.. Shashona McCall
The team at Musik and Film agree, and will be working closely with David on near future releases.
There is a bright future for this New Zealander. David speaks of his future plans, “I am SUPER excited to be launching this track to Radio with Musik Radio Promotions and currently planning a tour for late October in NZ (and possibly a few dates in Australia). I will be performing at the National Country Music Awards in August as I have been nominated for the Horizon Award again this year. (I’m the only artist to have ever been nominated twice!). All in all a massive year and looking forward to many more great things to come!”
How did it all begin?
Story has it 3 yr old Dustin was in the audience with his father, Jeff Walker, at a Rick Springfield concert.
As a result, Dustin has been writing rockin’ songs all throughout his life. In 2010(see picture), Dustin performed onstage playing lead guitar for Rick Springfield which appears in the documentary film by Yellow Rick Road Productions about Springfield. “An Affair of the Heart” has captured the hearts of millions of Rick Springfield fans around the world, and deservedly so.
Jeffrey Kauffman on Amazon review writes, “What sets these stories apart from the usual gamut of fan obsessed fare is the fact that in many of these cases Springfield has become personally involved with the fans themselves. This is perhaps most evident in the story of Dustin, a teenager who started appearing on stage with Springfield when he was a mere tot of three years, then for comedy relief (more or less), but who now lives the dream of playing guitar on stage with his idol. It’s a very sweet story and one which highlights Springfield’s amiable accessibility.”
The documentary goes on to capture the endearing relationship that has developed between Rick and Dustin over the years. One Amazon comment says it all, ” Absolutely love it!!..Rick w/ Dustin is incredible together (what a talented young man) enjoyed this dvd very much even though I cried through most of it!! very powerful moving dvd!!! a must watch for RS fans!!”
Rick Springfield speaks fondly of their relationship, “I feel so honored to be a part of someone’s life like that!”
Now Rick is honoring Dustin’s talent, hard work and perseverance with Dustin opening for him July 27th in Kansas City.
This is a dream come true for Dustin as Glenn Symmonds, drummer for Eddie Money, explains, “Dustin Walker is a young man with a heart for rock and roll. He’s the kid who’s dreamed of being a star since as far back as he can remember. The difference between Dustin and every other American teenager…is that he has the natural talent and raw energy to pull it off!”
Dustin Walker’s destiny was set when he was pulled on stage at the tender age of 2 by Ronnie Grinel to go on stage with Rick Springfield.
Dustin is all grown up now and as such, he is ready to smash all barriers with his new EP, **’Between the Lines’.
‘Between the Lines’ will be released in conjunction with Walker’s CD release party July 26th in Kansas City. Walker will be opening for Rick Springfield in Kansas City, July 27th.
The EP consists of 5 tracks, produced by Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Wrench. Walker co-wrote 4 of the tracks: Body Bag, I Can’t Do Anything For You, Tonight and Curses. The 5th track is an acoustic version of ‘Best of You’, by The Foo Fighters.
‘Between the Lines’ was recorded and mixed by Cameron Mitchell at Roar Music’s Studio 446 in the Scenic Rim, Queensland. Cameron recalls the experience, “Dustin Walker was an absolute pleasure to work with. I think it was an interesting experience for both of us and definitely a challenge working on opposite sides of the world and within such a short time frame, but Dustin was always open to advice and was always happy to take ideas on board. All in all, we had a blast! I would work with this talented young man again any day!”
Rick Brewer, drummer on the project, said ” Cameron Mitchell, Jordan Fearnside and I love a challenge. But think we succeeded in getting for Dustin his vision of what he wanted.”
Stephen Wrench, President Musik and Film agrees, “its real, this is whats happening now in music and on radio”

**These are new versions of these tracks.
