Scarlett Deva has rapidly climbed the Euro Charts with latest single, “In Da Couch”.  Partnering with MAF Music Promotions to reach millions worldwide, Deva quickly became a favorite,

“I only recently heard of MUSIK&FILM and am truly impressed!  Wish I would have known about them years ago!”

Understanding just what genre Scarlett Deva works in is a bit like unpicking an intricately woven rug to better appreciate the colours. You pull at one sonic thread and you find R&B, another has more of a jazz vibe, pop is in there too, as is some rap-infused spoken word, silky soul and more besides but, like the rug, the design is best appreciated by experiencing the whole thing, just as she intended.

In Da Couch is a wonderful blend of drifting atmospheres and slow sultry grooves, of liquid musical soundscapes and lush sonics and whilst the various musical strands and genres that are used to build this unique sound may be familiar, as always it isn’t the materials you use to make the music but how you fashion them together to create something fresh and original. In Da Couch is certainly that.

Genres are a thing of the past and the smarter artists, artists like Scarlett Deva, uses this new found freedom to create music which is happy to genre-hop its way to pastures new. The ability to do this, to almost turn accepted musical forms on their head and still come away with something cohesive, intriguing and accessible is a trick most can’t carry off, but Scarlet does so with ease.  When she is not reinventing the core concepts of soul, R&B, ambient pop and the like, she is creating wonderfully smooth, musically elegant and lyrically eloquent songs.

She is referred to as an renaissance woman working in Music and Medicine (integrative medicine). As a musician, Scarlett Deva is a versatile singer-songwriter, pianist, composer/arranger and producer. writing in various genres and settings. Her fabulous One Woman Show, which doesn’t need a whole load of production for a wow X factor, has been performed worldwide for standing ovations in which Scarlett plays and sings in several languages and styles from jazz and pop to high opera with monologues about relationships, bouncing back, health, and prevention.

Reviews have remarked that there is something for everyone—young and old – people from all walks of life. Scarlett’s versatile and haunting voice has been featured on the radio, TV (The Simpson’s) and several original CDs which she produced. Her virtuoso piano playing is exhilarating as are her original compositions. She was spotted performing her show in Los Angeles by the head of Ogilvy & Mather (Film/UK) who invited her as a composer-producer for adverts, including Ford and Eagle Star, to name but a few working in studios like Air Edel and Abbey Road. Feedback for her shows and seminars have been described as educational, funny, transformational, mystical, and inspiring!
