If you want to be an indie artist you have to be a little daft. It’s a hard road to go down when only a few see the light.

But before you decide, ask yourself – can you make a loud room quiet? Being one myself, that has been there and done that,  can you make the hair stand up on their arms? Does the story you wrote make them smile and cry? It takes a lot more than just being able to sing or perform a song. It takes a creator, an innovator – one who is not afraid to break new ground. It takes invention and reinvention. It takes a gift that very few have. The gift to move people with their words and their music. If you have that,  at least you have a fighting chance because like I said,  it’s a long road that few make it down.

Beyond being good you can either be very lucky or very smart. Lucky is easier, but do you think you can find an angel investor to help get your career off the ground? Beause you have to record, produce, manufacture merchandise, pay for radio promotion, pr, booking agents. It all costs money if ya don’t have an angel with at least 100 grand then you better be very smart. Smart meaning,  research the business you are in,  I mean really research it .

Develop a business plan to include marketing. Even if you don’t have the thousands behind you – you can do this if you plan the right strategy and if that doesn’t work – try a new strategy.

Because if you can make the hair stand up on their arms, make them smile, cry and feel what you created, if you can move them –   You got it.

Brad Tucker recently released his new single, Straight to the Sun, to world-wide radio promotions.  It has been well received and picked by the BBC and major stations on a global scale.

Canadian born singer/songwriter Brad Tucker has been writing and performing music professionally since 1996 with the release of his first studio recording “The Color of Love”. He was first recognized nationally in 2003 with a prestigious nomination for an ECMA Award, along- side of major artists including Anne Murray, Great Big Sea, and The Rankin Family. As his musical journey came to fruition, more nominations and awards followed. “I’m thankful for my accomplishments so far, but the greatest reward for me is seeing the hearts of my fans being touched in a positive way”, say’s Tucker. He continued, “We have the power as musicians to speak to the lives of people and to me that only leaves one choice… positive verses negative”. After Earth, has released their first single, ‘The Henchman’ to worldwide radio promotions with Musik Radio.

After Earth is a hard rock/metal band hailing from Upstate New York.  They bring new-age melodic metal mixed with many hard rock/rock influences that will grab you right out of your seat!  The line-up consists of six, extremely hard working dudes that have been in bands and/or have been playing music since their early teens. Born in the sunny coastal town of Nelson, New Zealand well-travelled singer/songwriter Bryce Wastney initially pursued a career as a boat builder before toxic poisoning forced him to re-train and in the process discover a love of the acoustic guitar.

In 2010 Bryce released his debut independent album “A Perfect Day for Travel”. The album gained impressive industry reviews with six songs off the album featuring alongside songs from the iconic Cat Stevens in the multi-award winning New Zealand feature film “Last Paradise”.

In May 2013 Bryce released “Dead Man Walking” – the first recording to come from his record deal with ‘Musik and Film‘. The single reached #2 on the New Zealand iTunes country charts off the back of an appearance on New Zealand national television show “Seven Sharp”.

In August 2013 Bryce released “You Got Me” to kick off his national New Zealand tour with internationally-renowned singer-songwriter Paul Ubana Jones. “You Got Me” charted #4 in the ECMA charts.

In November 2013 Bryce released ‘The Brightest Star” to coincide with a nationwide tour in Australia partnering with the World Vision sponsor a child program.

Recently, Bryce completed his second full-length album “Hope Mountain” and released the first single from the album “More Than A Mountain”.  Musik Radio Promotions has begun a world-wide radio campaign with the single being picked up by several BBC networks immediately.

Mats Gulbrandsen  is a Producer who is based at the capital of Norway, Oslo. At just 12 years of age Mats was already tweaking and tuning electronic beats at his home studio setup. He would spent several hours working day in and day out at the studio and today can proudly say he is master of his environment. His sound is both professional and of high quality, and can be found in the form of bootlegged remixes in the libraries of DJ’s all around the world. Although his name is still mostly known in his home country, today’s collaboration with other aspiring talent and experienced artists new doors are open for the talented Mats. Besides being an underdog and undiscovered diamond in the studio, Mats is also an active DJ and has performed all around Norway as well as had a couple of visits abroad. He plays at prestigious clubs like Nox (Oslo) and Klubbteatret (Drammen) His focus on developing and creating electronic music sets him apart and puts him on a different scale in the Norwegian DJ market. If you have heard him play you have probably heard his music, in both remix form and his own original sound. His latest releases include remixes on labels such as Pacha Recordings and Stoneyboy Music.
