The chart topping Adult Contemporary artist, Singer-Songwriter Michael Gilas is now at #14 on Billboard with “Working With the Rain”!
Sensational breakout! In his first 12 weeks as an artist being plugged by Musik Radio Promotions, Michael Gilas hit #1 on the World Indie Chart, #2 on the Euro Indie Chart, and #56 on the Media Base chart. Both Gilas’s singles, “Let’s Get Back to Us” and “This Is The Last Time,” topped the charts.
“Let’s Get Back to Us,” serves as a poignant testament to the importance of human connection. This track was the first from his upcoming debut album, 231 Kensington Road, and provides a glimpse into Michael’s transformation following a life-threatening neck injury.
“This Is The Last Time,” is a powerful mid-tempo rock anthem featuring enveloping electric guitars and a captivating choir of backup singers.
Now at #14 on Billboard, Gilas is defying all odds again with his February release of “Working With the Rain” now at #14 on Billboard. The track (Billboard Adult Contemporary chart debut at #21) is an inspiring ode to letting go of expectation and the need to know what the present and future has in store.
His debut album 231 Kensington Road is just on the horizon. Each track is a reflection of his renewal amidst setbacks and change, as well as a testament to his sonic versatility as an artist. Inspired by greats of soulful and classic rock like The Eagles, Steely Dan, and Fleetwood Mac, Gilas’ mission is to create a fresh sound that is inspired by the past but with a new edge.
Michael Gilas is currently working in the studio in Nashville alongside famed producer Kent Wells, known for his successful two decade collaboration with Dolly Parton. Together, they are recording five new songs that showcase Gilas’ evolving sound.
This March, he’s set to release the first of his collaboration with Wells, “Can’t Hide Beautiful,” which Gilas wrote lyrics and melody for. There will be an additional Pop mix produced by Michael Garvin. Garvin, who has an extensive and varied music career, is best known for both writing and producing Jennifer Lopez’s iconic dance hit “Waiting for Tonight”.
Further cementing Michael Gilas as an artist to watch in the coming months, “Can’t Hide Beautiful,” will be accompanied by a original music video for each version by renowned entertainment producer Ben Silverman
